EVENT INFORMATION

All new to the 4 & Rotary events stable this year is the Ardmore Showdown. Taking place at Ardmore Airport in Auckland, the Showdown takes our events to the next level!

Wings Vs Wheels won’t be your average air show or car show. It will consist of the best line-up of competitors, demonstrations, activities, prizes and so much more.

This event will also take us back in time to when Drag Racing and Circuit Racing used to be held at Ardmore airport also. Having a ray of old classics on display will defiantly bring back memories.

You also have the chance to get involved, so if you have a tricked out ride, aeroplane or just good old kiwi ingenuity, then you need to contact us.

We are all excited to make this event possible, so bring your whole family to be part of this great kiwi event!

PROGRAM

6am - Gates open for Competitors

8am - Gates Open to Public

9am - Show and Shine begins

10am - Drag Racing Demos – V8s Vs Imports

11am - Gymkhana Exhibitions

12pm - Drift Khana Exhibitions

12.30pm - Air Show begins

1pm - Jet Plane vs Drag Cars

1.30pm - Drag Car Power Skids

4pm - Drifting - Expression Session        

5pm - Prize giving

6pm - Gates Close

Show Directions

Driving directions from West Auckland (Massey North) to Ardmore Airport:

1. Head northwest toward Hobsonville Rd - 230 m
2. Turn right onto Hobsonville Rd - 130 m
3. Turn right to merge onto North-Western Motorway - 15.7 km
4. Take exit 4C for State Highway 1 S toward Hamilton - 800 m
5. Merge onto Auckland-Hamilton Motorway/State Highway 1 - 19.2 km
6. Take exit 448 for State Highway 20 toward Manukau - 350 m
7. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Pakuranga/Redoubt Road and merge onto Redoubt Rd - 650 m
8. Slight right to stay on Redoubt Rd - 2.8 km
9. Slight right onto Mill Rd - Go through 1 roundabout - 4.9 km
10. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Airfield Rd - 1.5 km
11. Turn right onto Corsair Ln

 Driving directions from SH1 & SH2 Interchange (South) to Ardmore Airport:

1. Head northwest on Auckland-Hamilton Motorway - 23.7 km
2. Take exit 453 toward Takanini - 500 m
3. Turn right onto Great South Rd - 1.2 km
4. Turn left onto Walter Strevens Drive - 38 m
5. Continue onto Taka St - 500 m
6. Turn left onto Takanini School Rd - 82 m
7. Take the 1st right onto Airfield Rd - Go through 2 roundabouts - 3.7 km
8. Turn right onto Corsair Ln
